Donation and refund policy

Last updated: November 2026

How donations are used

Every donation goes to the campaign you choose. For our current campaign, your gift pays for medicine, shelter and food for patients with schizophrenia and disabilities who have no family. If a campaign raises more than its goal, or ends, we use the remaining funds for the closest similar need at Habeeb and report this publicly.

Currency and payment methods

Donations are made in US dollars (USD). We accept mobile money (EVC Plus, Zaad, Sahal and WAAFI), credit and debit cards, and Premier Bank payments through licensed payment providers. The smallest online gift is $20.

Receipts

After your payment is confirmed, we send a receipt by email or SMS showing the amount, date, campaign and a reference number. If you do not receive one within 48 hours, please contact us.

Refunds

Donations are voluntary gifts and are normally not refundable. However, if you made a mistake, such as a wrong amount or a duplicate payment, contact us within 14 days of the donation with your reference number. We will review the request and, where it is approved, refund the amount through the original payment method. Refunds may take up to 14 working days to appear, depending on the payment provider.

Transparency

We keep a record of every donation and publish progress and a short report for each campaign, so donors can see how their gifts were used.
